Kaplan trying to make the SATs cool?

In this video excerpt from the Daily Show, Demetri Martin discusses how Kaplan and other companies are trying to re-work their SAT prep programs to seem “cooler” to the students who are taking the courses.  I’m sorry, but I don’t care what Kaplan, the Princeton Review, or any of those other companies do, SAT prep will always suck.  I have taken the Kaplan review course… twice, and let me tell you, it was probably one of the worst possible classes that you can take.  Not only was it boring, but it didn’t even help me, and having songs and comic books with big words in them doesn’t help make the course more appealing.  You can call a death tax an estate tax, but it’s still a death tax, and you can have myspace pages, comic books, and songs with big words in them for test prep, but it’s still test prep.  No matter how you spin it, test prep (especially for something as stupid as the SAT) sucks.  Does anyone think that these strategies actually work for Kaplan, or am I just being too harsh?
