A History of How Television Went to HD

This website http://www.hidefster.com/history/ gives their readers a history of how HD, high definition, was integrated into the television market. A form of high definition was available as early as 1988. It was also debuted on PBS which is not a station with a great deal of financial support. Television comapanies today have the movie industry to thank for high definition. This article also explains how some television companies, like FOX, will not send true analog signals to digital signals because they are also sending HD signals.
