Carly and Friends Face Real Adolescent Angst

As an avid fan of Disney channel and Nickelodeon television shows and stars I found this article a particularly interesting point to think about. The article focuses on Miranda Cosway, the star of the hit show iCarly. The magic of the show seems to be dying out as the star’s age and the goofy tone of the show is no longer fitting for the actor. It is crazy to think about how close in age I am to the actors I still view as kids. I thought it was funny how the actor’s are referred to as aging in dog years. The article proposes that the length of a young star’s run in such a role is short lived, partly due to self-consciousness.

Approaching their late teen years, stars of such shows as Hannah Montana and iCarly may need to find new endeavors to take on.
