After discussing both famous athletes as role models as well as politics in the media this article is a mesh of both. The congressman in California was working on honoring Tiger Woods with a Congressional Gold Medal, one of the highest awards to honor a citizen, but after recent events is deciding to end this effort. I thought this was very interesting because it is amazing how quickly the publics opinion can be altered. Also it puts the political figure in a compromising position if the congressman was to go through with the honor for Woods although the recent events. Woods can no longer be looked at as a role model, although he is a very successful athlete, his personal decisions now reflect his character and clearly people are not willing to accept these characteristics.
