Censoring of Apps

This New York Times article discusses how Apple has started banning certain apps that involve sexually suggestive material. Many complaints came from the App store users, specifically women who said that certain Apps were degrading and insulting. Personally, being female and an App store user, I do not find such Apps insulting at all. I actually find these Apps funny. I do understand that because there are many young users of iPhones, iPod Touches and the new iPad that censoring could be a good idea in order to not expose these young users to something they should not be seeing.

This relates to many of our class discussions about technology today and the availability of multiple aspects through technology, especially sexual material.
