Convergence is Here

This article interested me because its gonna help me in the future. This article is about Verizon buying the rights to stream live NFL games in their entirety.  this shows the convergence of many different services on one main platform. Verizon has been making a name for themselves as “Americas Best Mobile Network”, now they are asserting themselves by buying out these rights over Sprint. “Verizon signed a 720 million dollar deal to to replace Sprint as the league’s exclusive wireless partner.” (Ourand & Lefton 1). I myself have sprint as my wireless service and at first was disappointing to hear this. but, i soon realized that this was a great move for Verizon because now i want Verizon for my wireless service. this is going to gain Verizon a great deal of subscribers who would love to watch full football games on my mobile phone.
