Counter Criticism

i like this article a lot because it defends the fact that Mixed Martial Arts is a sport. it lists all the misconceptions and stereotypes that come along with the sport. it defends that the sport of fighting is much different than that act of fighting. it clearly proves that the only difference between this and Olympic style judo, boxing, and wrestling is that the fighters are allowed to strike on the ground. this article does not mean to insult those who believe that Mixed Martial Arts is a sport full of lawless brutes trying to kill their opponent, but inform them that its is a sport of athletes who strategically try to defeat their opposition. this is a defense for televised violence stating that there is acceptable violence for television, and mma is part of that acceptable violence.
