Well, maybe not evil, but i was reading this article

talking about some reasons to not use facebook.

Essentially what this articles is saying (whether it is biased or not, I don’t know) is that facebook creators are just using us for research data. The facebook layout is designed for people to share more an more information with more and more people.

So much information is available to others and even applications have access to all personal information as well.

The question arises, where is the line between privacy and public information? Is there a line anymore? as long as people use facebook as a medium to communicate, the people in charge of facebook have complete access to everything I say or see.

That information can then be sold to someone if they wanted it.

Its very tricky. I am not sure what I think about this entire issue but these facts about facebook are definitely something worth thinking about.
