FedEx Out as BCS Orange Bowl Sponsor

FedEx, one of the worlds largest shipping companies have backed out of their deal to be the primary sponsor of the annual BCS Orange Bowl.  They have been partners for 21 years now, and decided to back out just last week because the BCS has been asking their sponsors to not only be in partnership for the game itself, but as year long sponsors to promote the BCS.  With the economy the way it is, it is unfair to ask companies like FedEx to try and extend their sponsorship deals.

The BCS has been under much debate over the past few years because of their money hungry roots.  Many people want to see a playoff system implemented in college football.  FedEx could be making the right move, as many of the nation including President Barrack Obama push for the BCS to be eliminated.  Where will sponsorship battles ever end?  The answer is never.  With more coverage being added each year to these games, the BCS expects their sponsors to keep dishing out the cash.
