Hypocritical advertising

Kotex feminine products recently launched a new line called “UbyKotex.” The company targets women by engaging in a “no bullshit” type attitude that is relayed through their advertisements. In this particular ad, they are bashing stereotypical feminine product ads, to promote their own line. However, even though they are emphasizing the negative aspects of other advertisements, they are using the same tactics to entice the viewer.  Does the audience really buy into this, or do they see the hypocritical nature of this advertisement?
