Just Another Brett Favre Story

leave a comment »

The 2010-2011 NFL is well underway. Week 5 is just about wrapping up with one last game; Vikings vs. Jets. Quarterback, Brett Favre is trying to get mentally ready to match up against his previous team, yet something may be holding him back.

A few days before the match-up,breaking news surfaced the media with Brett Favre being the main target.  With his false retirement statements, Favre is so stranger to the media. However, this media coverage is anything but positive. He is being accused of sending unwanted sexual texts to a New York Jets sideline reporter. Note that this allegedly happened while Favre was a part of the Jets franchise in 2008. If proven guilty he can possibly face suspension.

Whether these allegations be true or not, it was two years ago. Brett Favre is not a part of the New York Jets team anymore therefore I believe that he should not be penalized. It has taken two years for this information to be released and ironically enough just before the Vikings play the Jets. I will be completely honest in saying that I am not a fan of Brett Favre at all. I think he should just retire at this point. However, in this press release I chose to be on his side. Whether the allegations be true or not, the media should not make it a major issue. The media should instead focus on the game itself.
