Jay-Z promotes new book: Decoded

Some people see Jay-Z as no more than a talented rapper and a savvy business man, and others see him as a member of the “illuminati.” No matter what you may think of him, the fact is that Jay-Z has sold millions of copies of multiple albums, and owns a music label empire, Rocnation, which consists of Kayne West, Rihanna, and now Willow Smith. Now his new project is Decoded , which is being promoted by Microsoft Bing’s search engine. Each page of the new book gives a great amount of of details of the meanings behind the star’s amazing lyrics.  The book also traces the cultural forces and experiences that shaped Jay-Z’s life, as well as his music. About a month ago Jay-Z started distributing all 350 pages of the book at hidden locations around the world. Fans may use Microsoft’s coveted Bing search engine to locate the pages either on the internet or in the real world. Fans who are able to locate each page can prove it by texting specific codes found on each page to enter the Decoded contest. Each fan who finds a page is entered into a drawing for various prizes, and all will be eligible for the grand prize of two tickets to see Jay-Z perform on New Years Eve in Nevada with Coldplay. To me, this is the most unique and exciting way I’ve ever seen someone promote a book. It just goes to prove that Jay-Z never stops entertaining and surprising us.
