The above URL is the link to an article about the new friendship pages on facebook. These friendship pages contain information about the two individual friends within their “friendship.” This includes wall posts, comments, photos, events they both attended, etc. Now, this information has been available to users before, however, the information was scattered, creating the task of finding some information more difficult than it is now. Many complaints have been voiced regarding the creepiness of this new feature. Although i do agree that it can be considered creepy and a little bit stalker-ish, i think the idea behind this new feature resonates with how our generation has come to be.

This feature was developed simply to make finding information “simpler.” Yes, this information has been available to us, just not as readily as it is now. We are always looking for ways to shorten the effort, shorten the time it takes to do a task. I’m not saying that is right or wrong, but this feature does do that. In the world that we live in today, i’m not sure if we can be blamed for wanting to maximize our time.

Overall, i think that this new feature has gotten too much negative critique. If you use it to stalk, it is stalker-ish. But not everyone is doing that.
