The Walking Dead

Zombies seem to be one of the era’s biggest obsessions next to vampires. I think society has gotten sick of vampire show after vampire movie. It’s surprising to see how AMC really helped out their channel by creating a show about zombies. Sure, there have been movies for decades about zombies and definitely books, such as “The Zombie Survival Guide” by Max Brooks, but seeing it on television is something new. The Oct 31st release of the show “The Walking Dead” has made such an impact.

Who knew AMC was going to be capable of making such an amazing show. The show was only set to premiere 6 episodes for a mini-series. The channel wasn’t sure how the show would do, but people were blown away. Despite the fact that the show is very gory, the make up work is phenomenal. It’s realistic and the storyline is actually enjoyable to watch. AMC has signed on, just after the premiere of the first episode to create a second season, set for 13 episodes.
