The Fashion Police are at it Again: She’s wearing too much!

Once again, a female is being judged for what she’s wearing. Only this time, it’s because of a ‘masculine’ outfit. Actress Leighton Meester from “Gossip Girl” was wearing a “lacy Marchesa jumpsuit,” which resembles a men’s suit at the Harry Winston Court of Jewels recreation launch which took place in New York City.

So here you’re telling me she’s being criticized because she’s wearing ‘too much’ or it’s ‘not feminine’ enough? From my viewpoint, many businesswomen wear suits, just without the tie. But heck, pop sensation Avril Lavigne was allowed to wear ties, why can’t any other woman. I feel like they are being over critical of her attire. Then on the other hand, if a man showed up to a public even wearing a dress, we’d be in the same situation, questioning his fashion sense.

Maybe criticizing a woman wearing a suit is just a way of separating gender. I thought the goal of society today is slowly attempting to rid of us this gender gap, but after seeing this, I can see we are beginning to backtrack.
