I Now Pronounce you Geeks
As an advertising major, I constantly find myself relating what im leaning to current examples. For example, developing brand equity. Apple is probably the name most think of when considering brand names and customer loyalty. Steve Jobbs and his loyal following of Apple lovers have helped to create one of the most recognizable brands in the entire world. With the release of the iPhone a few years ago, Jobs has taken that small, half eaten apple further than ever before. In fact,I think I read somewhere that they had sent an iPhone into space.
Well it was only a matter of time before someone gave the design team over at Apple a run for their money. The release of the Droid and the Android network has sparked a green revolution. Not an environmentally concerned green, but the green of a little flying robot. Droid uses this little green robot as a symbol of the Droid network and as a method of developing and brand which customer can become loyal to, like apple. The number of Droid users has sky rocketed since their smart phone fleet release and only continues to rise. Combined with the dark, technologically advanced commercials that exploits the power and capabilities the Droid has, that little green robot has become recognized as one of the most bad ass robots of recent history. Users have developed such strong relationship with the robot that they are including it in their weddings!
