Larry King Says Goodbye

leave a comment »

After 25 years, Larry King aired his final show on CNN. Many famous public icons stopped by to talk to King on his last show, whether it be in person or by a split screen conversation. Both President Obama and former President Clinton said goodbye on the show. A group of famous news anchors, including Barbara Walters, stopped by to say goodbye as well. Even Ryan Seacrest and Regis Philbin made an appearance. As a news correspondent, Larry King was an important public figure. He appeared in our homes for a quarter of a decade, famously wearing his square glasses and suspenders. King seemed to show little reaction to his wave of goodbyes, but he hopes to be back in the public eye soon. Although he is leaving to make room for younger news correspondents, King will always play an influential role in televised news.
