Somebody working in TLC thought it would be a good idea to combine Sarah Palin and Kate Gosselin.  I don’t know why other people listened to him but they did and last week Sarah hosted Kate on an episode of “Sarah Palin’s Alaska”.  In the beginning it seemed like the two women had a lot to talk about.  They commiserated about the paparazzi camp out on their front lawns and how no one understands the delicate balance of reality tv drama.  After that the similarities went out the window.

“I’m worried about my toes; they’re freezing,” she said.

“I’ve been bitten [by bugs] about 200 times — it’s horrible,” she moaned.

“I’m miserable, but somebody‘s gotta be,” she said nonsensically.

“This is cruel and unusual punishment,” she whined.

These are just some of the fun comments Gosselin made on the new episode.  I didn’t watch it but after reading a few articles about the episode I feel like I really missed out.  Apparently Kate complained from the moment she stepped off the plane.  Her children were very excited to camp and apparently having a good time, but Kate stood with her hands jammed in her pockets and just complained for hours.  Later on she finally joined in on the fun when everyone decided to make smores but it only ended in misery.  Kate flew into a temper tantrum after seeing gooey marshmallow fall on her children’s sleeves; “This is ridiculous!” she shrieked. “I just don’t get it! There are no paper towels! I’m freezing to the bone, I have 19 layers on, my hands are frigid!”  After that she told the kids they were leaving.  All of the children were so upset but after she gave them an ultimatum, telling them either they leave with her or stay and become Palin’s, they followed their mother to the plane.

Overall a successful trip.
