Teach me how to John Wall?

leave a comment »

John Wall is an extremely talented young basketball player who started his career at the University of Kentucky. After one year of success playing with the Wildcats he was drafted into the NBA and currently plays for the Washington Wizards. At the beginning of most NBA games, a warmup music playlist is played during the team introductions. The starting five players for each team are announced and pumped up by their song of choice. “Teach me how to Dougie” by the New Boyz is John Wall’s song of choice. However; the main objective for bringing this up is his overall “down to earth” attitude and mentality about being a young sensation in professional basketball. Interview after interview, Wall is portrayed as one of the few star athletes who is truly playing for the love of the game, not the money or fame. It is clear watching him perform that he is a rare and unique character that could ultimately change the NBA for the better.
