Going Beyond Technology

The advertising for the new Apple iPad 2 has brought a new approach to how Apple advertises it’s products. Rather than simply showing the capabilities of the product and expressing how technologically advanced the product is, the advertisement for the  iPad 2  discusses Apple’s statement of belief. The statement “technology is not enough” depicts the vast reach of Apple products; that while aspects of products are very quick and receptive, they go beyond just technology. Our lives have become incredibly impacted by the iPod, the iPhone, and the iPad simply because of their capabilities.

This type of advertising really gains the attention of audiences and sets Apple apart from its competitors. It allows us to see the intent of Apple and the mindset that goes behind their products. A more personal tone is felt as you watch the video; Apple ultimately expresses how much they the customer into consideration  while constructing a product.  Personally I believe this a creative way for Apple to show how they are pushing the limits on technology and providing products that go beyond the initial purposes of technology.
