New York Times Obama Blender

I found this article on yahoo.com and I thought it was rather hilarious. the article talks about how the New York Times fell for a prank published by The Onion, a satiric newspaper. The Onion originally posted a fake “teen beat” magazine cover with pictures of the jonas brothers alongside a picture of the president with “personal facts.” The New York Times then took this information and published it in this past sundays paper.

I found this article funny, because it just goes to show that not all papers and journalists are indeed checking their facts. They need to get the story before the next paper or online sites, so they’ll publish without making sure what they are publishing is credible, Even when it comes to information about the president.
