Raising the 9/11 Generation

This article caught my attention after the events this past Sunday regarding the death of Osama bin Laden. It has been interesting to read the comparisons between our generations and generations from the past dealing with different historical and monumental events. This article made me realize that the generation they are talking about, the ones that celebrated in the streets outside of the White House and Ground Zero, they were talking about us. We are the students that remembered 9/11 as a young elementary school or middle school student. This was how our parents felt back when JFK, MLK and RFK were assassinated. It is very cool to think that years from now it will be asked “Where were you when you found out that Osama was killed?” So take a look at this article, and you will have a better understanding of what your parents and grandparents experienced.
